  A democracy is a government chosen and ran by the people of the U.S.A. Popular soveriengnty or the authority of the poeple plays a big part in this democracy. Repulicanism is when people chose their representatives  in government giving them power of the government and who is in office. The limited government is based on the decloration of independence, Bill of rights, and rule of law and no one is above the law. Federalism where the power is between the national government and states. The seperation of powers seperates the power too authority and congess. Checks and balances the government can check or limit what can be sold and grown for the country. Allt hese things are the basics for our democracy to stay intact today
